Smackdown: Chuckercanuck Wakes Up Liberal Youth Across Canada
I wonder if all those ambitious wankers who sign up to their campus Liberal club have started wetting their khaki dockers over their life commitment to the Big Dreamers. What once looked like a meal ticket now’s a chump’s dead end.
Blogger ChuckerCanuck discussing what must be going through young Liberal minds after the Liberal Party popularity numbers sink to 23%, a low water mark.
Right now across Canada there are Liberal youth who should read this and rethink which campus club they plan to join.
From my experience, the ‘wankers’ in my party never wavered but then I went through the Reform/PC thing and the ‘wankers’ that I refer to, were the ‘Young PC-ers’.
Once the party merged, well yes, of course they are 30 and 40 something Conservatives but there are still those (my sister-in-law, president lol) that hangs on to her ideals even though she LOVES what she sees from this PM.
Conservatives are not Liberals. We have been through the hard stuff and rebuilt, turned enemies into friends and taught ourselves how to dialogue as PC’s and Reforms.
The Liberals, have yet to do that even though they clearly have more ‘NDP’ thinking Liberals than centre thinking and that will be their issue.
Those are the things that ‘young university’ liberals need to consider because it has been shown that as people age,marry and have families, they DO become more conservative.
For a Liberal, currently they have NO party to embrace that change.
