Keep on fleshing out the details. This is just another example of the sick mindset of that party. Anything is justified if it means staying in power. Bribery, false accusations, lies, theft, fear mongering...Time to bring the house down on them.

Just amother case of do anything, say anything, eat your own if you have to, Liberal sleaze tactics. I would like to think that it is only a few in the party who would sink to these levels , but after seeing this and listening to Paul Martin's ramblings this morning, it looks more and more like the Liberal's have a "How a Liberal gets elected" handbook.

Is it me or does this kind of behaviour mainly stem from liberals when it comes to politics.
I hate to generalize but it sure seems to be their calling card ,and not many liberals speak out against it with any kind of genuine disgust or concern.

Here we go again. The stupidity of it all. First of all sexual assault is a criminal code matter and if there is any substance to it this individual should have reported it to the RCMP not to some local cable TV program. This person should probably be charged with witholding evidence.
This is a serious matter regardless of someones political leanings.
Considering how this came up, it would seem that this person is attempting to do what a school kid would do to get even with a teacher that gave them an F istead of an A. Afterall inuendo, and perception far outweigh fact and for the facts to come out would take much longer than the Jan 23 election day.
Needless to say what this type of tripe does to the poor mans family.
Non the less, the Liberals are in trouble and they really seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel here...

This is disgusting, but not surprising. I have seen how call-in shows operate from campaign offices at the provincial level.
I was not part of the fiasco, but witnessed it while working at a newspaper office where the campaign manager was also the publisher. What I witnessed was not, in any way, so blatantly libelous, but disturbing just the same. He called in as several different personas to raise the issues that placed his candidate in the best light.
It's the way political party campaigns manipulate the media. Unfortunately, some media outlets swallow it, head to tail.
When I confronted the publisher about his actions, he said, "It's all just part of the game." And what party was he manager for? The provincial Liberal Party.

I wouldn't call lifesitenews mainstream media. In fact, I don't recall a story broken by them as ever having been picked up by the mainstream media.
Don't get me wrong - I get their digests because they often pick up news that the MSM won't. But that is what makes them NOT Mainstream.

Is it legal/proper for Vellacott to have released this statement, referring to himself as the frontrunner and attacking his opponent (even if the opponent deserves to be attacked) on House of Commons letterhead??

This is the thing I have never undestood about
liberals. They will do something like this and
do it such a stupid way they are caught.
American and Canadian liberals are the same in
this way.
They seem to think the public is so stupid we
will not catch on to their silly and not well
thought out games and spin.
Let's face it , If I were going to do something
like this I would have used a pay phone in a
guiet area. Or from a hotel phone, anywhere BUT
from the office!
What a relief it will be when this election is
over and we have some intelligence being used
from our leaders.

People of Saskatchewan should stand up for Canada stop this outrage by voting for the Bloc Quebecois.
er.. I have just been informed by Paul Martin's campaign manager that there are no BQ's running in Saskatchewan .. sorry bout that.
Frankly I don't care how you people out there vote as there aren't any CAW members in your area anyways.

Well, it seems that you guys have just as much BS crap happening as we do (lower 48 states). I would guess that not only have we exported guns and violence to our neighbors (as your liberal party says), we've also exported dumb talk radio and stupid TV (Jerry Springer comes to mind).
Oh well, we can all learn something from such tactics. It creates fodder for some great liberal speeches that will happen - we had all our liberal BS on Martin Luther King day, a day I now call the Democratic Party Ya-Ya Festival. You folks have fun with this one. It ought to be a hoot.

Oh man,
Just like everything else the Liberals have ever done they thought they wouldn't get caught so they didn't cover up.
I think it says more about the intelligence and scruples of who the Liberals choose to associated with.
I don't know but the guy is stupid enough to make a crank call from his work phone without blocking the number, and apparently he has a well known voice that was readily identifiable. And no brains. Definitely no brains.
Come to think of it, I keep getting calls from a Saskatoon number that won't identify themselves. Could this be the guy??

It would be nice to get the information from the producers just how long this caller was on hold waiting to talk to the candidate....
I have never been able to get through straight away on any call in programs I have called!
Shaw Cables producers would know this! So would SaskTel telephone records! SaskTel records could also show how many OTHER people snuck into the office at the same time to use the other phones at the same time! Hmmmm. perhaps we could get these other mall prowlers to fess up...

What the heck is this "Allegations of Sabotage" BS headline?!!
There is a radio station recording, a Liberal campaign admission, and a self-serving qualified Liberal apology that a phone call was placed from Liberal candidate Chris Axworthy's campaign headquarters in Saskatoon-Wanuskewin falsely accusing a sitting Conservative MP (and former pastor), Maurice Vellacott of sexual assault. Shouldn't the headline read:
"Rape Allegation Falls Flat"
or
"False Sex Assault Charge Made from Liberal Campaign HQ"
or
"Liberal Candidate Denies Campaign Worker Made Malicious Sex Abuse Claim"
or
"Conservative MP Falsely Accused of Sex Assault from Liberal Candidate's Phone"
or
"Conservative MP Wrongly Accused of Rape by Sask Lib Campaign"
or
"Former Pastor Accused Falsely of Rape"
or
"Liberal Candidate Promises to Assist Rape Claim Investigation"
or
"Desperate Rape Smear Backfires"
