Chinese figure skater Dan Zhang takes a major fall while attempting to land a quad throw element in the pairs long program in Torino today. Following the spill, Dan and her (unrelated partner) Hao Zhang continued their routine and went on to win the silver medal.
Talk about painful. But I give her full marks, not only for the silver, but for skating flawlessly outside of this one element. Considering it was their first technical element, the pair still had to perform the rest of their routine with Dan in obvious pain.
