Sara Renner, of Golden B.C., and Beckie Scott, of Vegreville, Alberta, took silver in the women's team sprint finals this morning.

There was a tenuous moment on Renner's second last lap when her ski pole broke. But the pair managed to do a great job in bringing it home. Scott finished the second leg just a few feet behind the Swedes who took the gold. The Finnish team tapered off in the last half kilometer to finish third after staying with the Swedes and Canadians the whole race.
